Takegawa has developed an exclusive camshaft with a decompression mechanism built into the camshaft. The decompression device releases cranking pressure during start up and allows the bike to be started with ease. Once the motor has started, the decompression is automatically disabled and full compression is restored. This new decompression camshaft will allow most bikes to actually be started by hand. Now there is no reason to hesitate to use a huge bore or a stroked crankshaft. This will work on the 138cc +R or the 178cc +R heads.
